Davon Edgecombe, P. E., P.Eng.
Principal – Structural Engineer
Davon is a registered professional civil and structural engineer in The Bahamas, Florida, Texas and Ontario. He specializes in the project management and structural design of commercial buildings and luxury residential homes but has much experience in the design and construction of buildings, marinas, seawalls, and other structures.
Davon has collaborated with architects, engineers, and developers locally and from around the world.
He has been involved with technical reconnaissance assessments with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), The Government of The Bahamas, NGO’s, local contractors and private developers and homeowner’s . Davon served as structural project lead, engineer of record and design engineer for a variety of notable projects in The Bahamas, such as, King’s School, Baha Mar, Hurricane Hole, Montage Cay, Winding Bay, Caves Corporate Center, Goldwynn Hotel, Children’s Bay Cay, One Cable Beach, Thirty – Six, Aqualina, and LightHouse Point.
Davon received a dual Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Architectural Engineering from Drexel University, Philadelphia. Additionally, he graduated from The College/University of The Bahamas with an Associate of Science degree in Architecture, for which he received a top performance award from the Institute of Bahamian Architects (IBA) . He enjoys teaching the public the benefits of thinking like an engineer, in hopes they may go on to become problem solvers and teach others
